My work as a Conceptual Level Designer for the multiplayer map "Khafji" inspired by the battle of Khafji in 1991, for the First Person Tactical Shooter "Operation: Harsh Doorstop" (Available on Steam). As the level dimensions requirements were huge (16km square) I envisioned a entirely new map parting from satellite imagery that diverges completely from the actual city of Khafji, yet resembling it's spirit and look back in the Gulf War. This is the end result of many iterations, sketches and the gathering of hundreds of references for the environment, structures and vehicles, following feedback from all the team involved in the project. As this was the first map for the game, I also were in charge of making a selection of vehicles to be in the game.
